Happy half-term! With lots of exciting events and activities around the corner (Halloween, Bonfire Night, and dare we mention Christmas) there will be plenty of activities for you to keep your little ones busy this half-term! But for those of you particularly excited about Bonfire Night and wrapping up warm with the family to see some dazzling fireworks, we have listed some of the top firework displays for you to watch this Autumn.
- Bonfire Night at Chatsworth House – Saturday 30th – Sunday 31st October
Explore Chatsworh House with their annual bonfire and fireworks in the garden with a blazing bonfire and two spectacular firework displays, including an early display for little ones. This one is sure to be an exhilarating evening of entertainment for visitors of all ages. Wrap up warm and join in on the family entertainment plus a selection of delicious food from hog roasts to churros and sweet treats. As well as a traditional bonfire, enjoy a ‘frightful’ night on Sunday with spooky entertainment and face painting, plus Halloween themed firework displays and music – two wonderful autumn family events rolled in to one!
- Lewes Bonfire Celebrations – Friday 5th November
Probably the most famous of all bonfire night events in England, the Lewes Bonfire Night has an electric atmosphere suitable for the whole family. The event regularly attracts thousands of visitors and can get extremely busy, so make sure you book well in advance!
- Alexandra Palace Fireworks Festival – Saturday 6th November
Set against stunning panoramic views over London, this is the capital’s hottest bonfire night for a reason. Be captivated by the Light Show, get your dancing shoes on at StrEATlife or warm up by the bonfire plus plenty of other family fun activities, this one is sure to be a spectacular evening!
- Leeds Castle Fireworks Spectacular – Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th November
Every November, Leeds Castle comes alive for two days with lights, sounds and colour. This year’s display (which is said to be the biggest pyrotechnic display in the whole of South East England), combines fireworks and projected moving images to create an audio-visual treat unlike anything else, and will have you singing and dancing the night away!
